Social Bunny Sims

Looks like we’re getting another new expansion! July will see the release of the new Lovestruck expansion, which is about… love? I guess? I’ll be honest, I couldn’t really get a good idea of the pack’s content from the trailer, but from what I can see, it looks like we’re going to be getting a bit more of a fleshed – out dating experience.

It looks to me like the focus of the new pack is new interactions and relationships (obviously, I guess!). I picked up on a couple of things that looked new, such as Sims feeding each other strawberries, as well as what looks like a stargazing interaction. THe trailer also shows what looks like a Tinder – style dating app to help Sims navigate their love lives, keeping it on brand with the social media gameplay elements previously introduced.

Of course we have the usual Build/Buy and CAS items,including what looks like a variety of costumes and what looks like a refernce to the heart bed from the Sims 1 – vibrating or not, I cant yet say! I’m sure this homage to a nostalgic item will excite many Simmers, so I’d be excited to see this in the game!

Overall, I found it difficult to get a real impression of what the pack will be, but I will say that I felt like it seemed a little lacking – somehting like this feels like it would go hand in hand with a pack like Growing Together, in a ‘growing up and finding yourself’ sort of way. I don’t want to be overly neagtive, but it feels like another case of something that could have been included in another pack. However, it looks like some interesting new items are coming, so I’ll await further information before I let myself feel disappointed; Lovestruck will be releasing 25th July!
